Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
At Portfolionaire, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Who We Are
Portfolionaire is operated by [legal entity name], [registered address], registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number [KvK number]. We are the data controller responsible for your personal information. For any privacy question, use our contact form.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide directly — your name and email address when you create an account, join the waitlist, contact us, or submit a support request — together with the content of those messages. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; we receive a customer reference and your subscription status, but we never see or store your card details. We also keep standard server logs (including IP address and browser type) to operate and secure the platform.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve our services, process payments, send account notifications, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations. We process this data to perform our contract with you (your account and subscription), to meet legal obligations, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and securing the platform. We may also use aggregated, anonymised data for service improvement.
Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the platform — currently our payment processor (Stripe) and our hosting provider — and only to the extent needed to deliver the service. Some providers, such as Stripe, may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Cookies & Tracking
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it. You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings; disabling the essential cookie will prevent you from signing in.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. After account deletion, we may retain certain data for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.
Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws (including the GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via our contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our platform or by sending you an email. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
